Manifesto
Tordoki exists so people go outside more often, discover places, meet others, test themselves and return with real memories.
1. Real life matters more than digital life
Success is not two hours in the app. Success can be five minutes in Tordoki followed by an entire day outside.
2. Action matters more than viewing
A route becomes valuable when it is walked. Digital activity should lead to physical experience: see → get interested → prepare → go → live it → keep it → share it.
3. Nature is not an infinite feed
Social mechanics are useful only when they support real meetings, trust and exchange of experience. At the centre of Tordoki is an event that happened in the real world.
4. Achievement must be real
You cannot buy a summit, walked kilometres, experience or a guide's reputation. Achievement follows action and may unlock real benefits, but a benefit cannot buy the achievement.
5. Reputation is built by actions
A Tordoki profile should become a history of travel, experience and trust — shaped by trips, participation, reviews and confirmations.
6. People matter more than algorithms
A beginner needs someone who makes the first trip easier and safer. An experienced hiker needs a team. A guide needs participants. Technology helps these connections happen.
7. Safety is part of the product
We cannot remove risk from nature. We can help people understand it: prepare, account for difficulty and conditions, keep essentials offline and share the plan with people waiting for them.
8. Technology should become invisible
The route records, information remains available and a safety contact knows the plan — while the person looks around. A good Tordoki interface can be closed when it is no longer needed.
9. Local knowledge is an advantage
A map knows coordinates. Local people know road conditions, crossings, seasons, rain damage and the real character of a trail. Tordoki should connect these forms of knowledge.
10. Commerce should strengthen the journey
Premium, partners and services are welcome when they add value to real experience. Trust is not for sale: ratings, reviews and achievements must not be purchasable.
The main unit of value in Tordoki is not a view, a click or time spent in the app. It is an experience that actually happened because of it.
